Montana transit drivers, transit providers, board members, elected officials, public agency directors, transportation consultants or anyone involved in providing transit service who would like to participate in an extremely fun event.

About the Roadeo

The Montana Transit Association (MTA) and the Transit Section of the Montana Department of Transportation Bus Roadeo is a one-day competition promoting safety by encouraging and  rewarding professional driving skills. this special event provides participants with positive job-related motivation by emphasizing the important role they play in providing safe and reliable transportation for the citizens of Montana. The Roadeo also encouraged camaraderie among the drivers and various Transportation providers by the sportsmanship and pride the event fosters. Current MDT grant recipient agencies will be able to request reimbursement for all driver lodging expenses and mileage for one vehicle  through MDT's RTAP Scholarship Program. (Meals not covered in registration costs and registration fees are NOT eligible reimbursable expenses). Drivers are encouraged to ride share to the event.

Transportation

Our hosts, Butte Silver Bow, will be providing all necessary transportation to and from the obstacle course at the Butte Civic Center, Awards Banquet and the hotel.

A block of rooms has been reserved for MTA Roadeo participants. Registrants are responsible for their own lodging reservations.

How to Register

Register on line using the Roadeo Registration tab, print and fax or mail the form with your check for $75 before the registration deadline of September 6, 2024 Registration for non-members is $150 before the deadline. If an agency does not have funds to send their driver(s), you may apply to MDT for a RTAP scholarship for lodging and mileage(see mileage restrictions above). If several drivers are coming from the same agency they should arrange to ride together.
